About this deal

On my setup using my Ortofon 2M Bronze stylus the sound is a little flat and yet very base heavy, but durring the louder more thrashy segments the audio gets muffled and fuzzy and loses all fidelity completely.

The album sold over 15 million copies worldwide, catapulting the band to become one of the biggest rock bands of the turn of the century. But this should never have found its way to vinyl, it just reminds us (as they jokingly say themselves) that Mark and Tom can't sing. They're still rooted in punk-pop, but even songs that stretch no further than that sound are a little darker, a little restless, reflecting the overall mood of the record.

Within their guitar-bass-drums template, however, they offer moments of playfulness and lyricism that stretch their definition of sound. The record is the band's first album in 12 years with the classic line-up of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker. Hailing from the Welsh town of Wrexham, Neck Deep has always been the band that wanted to do things their own way and didn't take themselves too seriously. After a long series of performances at various clubs and festivals and several indie recordings throughout the 1990s, Blink-182 first achieved popularity on the Warped Tour and in Australia following the release of their sophomore effort Dude Ranch (1997) and its rock radio hit "Dammit". As with many self-titled albums, the trio uses this as an attempt to redefine itself, and they have considerably expanded both their sonic template and lyrical outlook on blink-182.

Maybe I simply have a dodgy copy, but from my own judgement it sounds like this release has been poorly mastered for vinyl and/or could even be sourced from a CD master? Blink-182 turned to veteran punk rock producer Jerry Finn, who had previously worked on Green Day's breakthrough album, 'Dookie' (1994), to record their third album 'Enema Of The State'. Guitarist Tom DeLonge and bassist Mark Hoppus primarily culled stories from friends and autobiographical situations to craft summery tracks revolving around breakups, suburban parties and maturity, as well as more offbeat subject matter such as UFO conspiracy theories.is the highly anticipated new album from blink-182, featuring the group’s iconic lineup together again – Mark Hoppus [bass, vocals], Tom DeLonge [guitar, vocals], and Travis Barker [drums].

The album also sports two bonus items, 'Not Now' (an outtake from the 2003 self-titled album) and 'Another Girl Another Planet', which served as the theme to the MTV reality show Meet the Barkers, starring Blink drummer Travis Barker. All the Small Things" and "Adam's Song" became hit singles and MTV staples, generating heavy radio airplay. Nevertheless, it's impossible not to acknowledge that it was the landmark albums Enema of the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, respectively landing in 1999 and 2001, that saw them really break into the mainstream conscious. As with 2001's Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, a theme of loneliness emerges upon the first couple of listens, but this time it feels as if Blink wants to connect it to something larger than before. Looking back, it's possible to see the roots of blink-182's tuneful frat punk on Cheshire Cat, but the fact of the matter is, this isn't as good an album as the ones that came later. In shorthand, this is the record where blink-182 delve into post-punk, opting for some appealingly sullen moodiness, off-kilter hooks, lots of sonic textures, and even a duet with the Cure's Robert Smith. Since their inception in 1996, Sum 41 has been relentless, unapologetic, and unconcerned with musical boundaries.

One More Time… Features 17 New Songs That Capture The Band At The Top Of Their Game, Layering In Themes Of Tragedy, Triumph, And Most Importantly, Brotherhood. Delve into their story, though, and you realise by the time they put out this compilation - coinciding with their split and, in the label Geffen's words, "indefinite hiatus" - they'd actually already been going for more than a decade. All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. LP has been remastered for vinyl and comes in a thick card gatefold sleeve with expanded artwork and a 12 page booklet and centre labels are unique to this press! Enema of the State' had an extensive impact on contemporary pop punk, reinventing it for a new generation and spawning countless tributes and acolytes.
