About this deal

Others say it’s a compression of ministerium, meaning craft, a reference to the fact that the casts were formed by members of their respective trades. It is is a partnership between the University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent Union, Christ Church Students’ Union, Kent Police, Canterbury City Council, the Residents’ Associations of north and south Canterbury and Right Guard Security. Walked into the church yard with my dog on a lead as there were no signs showing not to and I have seen a few people with their dogs off lead in the church yard. The place was busy due to Christmas parties and other guests, but the staff was attentive and provided us with all necessary information. Although now within touching distance of the cathedral, defer this pleasure a little while longer by heading up Sun Street which, as it tends north, turns into Palace Street, then The Borough, then Northgate.

The trip says it's of 45 mins but actual distance covered is very short and rest is about halting and describing the buildings. Partly free to access and partly accessed with a small fee (4 GBP) which allows visitors onto the roof and down to the lower level. Every staff member has treated me so amazingly, even helping me to my door with food, and it's so close to everything I want to see in Canterbury. The bedrooms are new generation, each with a freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head and a brand new king-size Hypnos bed. Extensive Menu split between really good meat, vegan and vegetarian pub food with food clearly labelled for allergens too.The pub hosts DJs and bands by night, but during the day you can get your fill of hearty vegan dishes.

the building has adapted itself well over the years and remains relevant to Canterbury's long history. The Street Marshals are provided by Right Guard Security, and are all Security Industry Authority (SIA) accredited, and approved and vetted by Kent Police as prescribed by the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS).The breakfast room floor is the best but the view of the market as you are eating or just pondering is fantastic. I was here for a ceremony so didn't get a chance to explore the building but the main sanctuary is beautiful. The building is originally from the early days of cinema and has been completely redeveloped over the past decade, making it one of the most beautiful places to watch a show in Canterbury.

The knowledgeable and friendly staff are a testament to the cathedral's commitment to hospitality, and their willingness to share their expertise and passion for the cathedral's history and significance only adds to the overall experience. Activities for children and lots of things for adults to look at too - Outfits to try on, shields and swords to brandish. With all the restaurants, cafes and pubs there is no shortage of food in Canterbury, and we did frequent quite a few! We spent about an hour here and will definitely be going to back again to have a proper read of things when we have more time.As part of the funding awarded by the Chewing Gum Task Force, signs were also installed to encourage people to put their chewing gum in the bin rather than throwing it on the floor in a bid to prevent it from being dropped in the first place.

Canterbury Business Improvement District (BID) is an independent, business-led, not-for-profit initiative voted for by the businesses of Canterbury in July 2014 and again in July 2019 for another five-year term. Before leaving Stour Street, take in the Canterbury Heritage Museum, housed in the medieval Poor Priests Hospital. The place belies its sober name with some astonishing exhibits: a silver Saxon portable sundial; a whodunit display on the life and still-perplexing death of Canterbury-born playwright and early Shakespeare rival Christopher Marlowe; a three-wall tapestry depicting the life-story and, yes, death-story of Thomas Becket. Also There are staff who walk around the convent dressed as monks and nuns, offering help and explanations to visitors.
