Ordinarily, the lack of a 4K Ultra HD release for a new title like Cocaine Bear would be a disappointment, especially considering the fact that it appears to have been produced as a 4K DI. In fact, the trailer moments feel oddly out of place with the rest of the film, leaving it feel like it was conceived around a handful of set-piece flashes, which frankly it most likely was. But it was a sufficiently goofy fun time to have us more fondly remembering the classic films it reminds us of than bemoaning the waste of a title that the Sam Jackson and Asylum peers certainly had us doing.
