It's speedy, sharp, and presents its content well, meaning those that make the most of its add-on package options will get a great deal of bang for their buck.
Jeremy here, my mistake I meant EURO 2020 HDR10 streaming via ORF (via VPN) app on my android box, far superior to BT HDR10 for the Premier League etc.
Note that the IP content including BT Sport will not work if you use a different make of router, and that the Humax box isn't wireless. The Internet / USB Recovery options don't work either, although they don't seem to do anything other than timeout. BT TV makes use of the YouView+ platform and technology, which means you get an EPG that scrolls back seven days as well as forwards and allows you to record shows from the past week so long as they are also contained within the relevant on-demand engine (iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4, Demand 5, BT Player, Now TV, Milkshake!
Personally, I think BT really should develop their own UI for the new box and forget about YouView and Humax completely, but I’m sure they’ll simply stick with YouView, along with the other Freeview based pay TV services I. Dedicated BT Player button you can quickly access subscription based BT Player content and On Demand films.
I think the FVP-4000T may have slightly better upscaling but i'm not sure there is really much in it. Ultra HD TV has finally arrived, and BT is first overtaken publication with its BT Sport Ultra HD channel. As soon as I started watching it was clear that the picture was impressive, but switching back to the HD feed truly showed how much better 4K is – the older channel looked softer in comparison.is more than enough for all broadcast and streaming content that we will see over the next few years at least.
