When you open up the Edifier 330NB TWS the one thing you will notice is how close they look in design to a pair of Airpods Pro. The Edifier TWS330 NB pairs and connects quickly, with a stable Bluetooth connection up to 9-10 meters away from your device.The Edifier has a more compact case and smaller stems; the Coumi offers half an hour more battery life, has slightly more effective noise-cancelling, and carries shower-proof waterproof rating. Unfortunately, while this emphasis is handled wonderfully on the TWS1 Pro, the TWS330NB doesn't handle upper-mids and highs equally well. It also comes with a more comprehensive app with different sound signatures and more control options.
You can hear sound effects on your left and right - with vocals often nicely centered in the middle, but it's hard to speak of a wide soundstage. I found the fit actually also helped prevent them from falling out of your ears when walking to work or even when I used them for a Spin class recently. Especially sudden sounds, like door slams or (male/ heavier voiced) people talking, aren't reduced very well. The TWS330NB controls by touching the middle part of the stems, which can be hard to locate blindly. It’s also something to consider if you listen for long periods like when you go on a bike ride who wants a battery to die mid-ride.
The app was quite basic I felt with only shortcuts for ANC, Ambient mode and provides how much battery you have and you can customize the touch control apart from that no opportunity to adjust the EQ which I felt was disappointing an opportunity missed especially considering you use the app for all the Edifier buds and overhead headphones. The case has a simple design with just a single LED light on the front that indicates the remaining case battery. Apart from that, the ANC performance is good considering the cost and the Edifier Control app is useful to make some changes but I would have liked to have been able to adjust the EQ add that and it will help make these buds stand out even more. The ambient sound mode enables you to hear surrounding sounds such as announcements in a subway or airport without having to take off your earbuds. I was using them quite happily, but last night i left the Earbuds box (which holds the buds) on charge and forgot to disconnect it when i went to sleep. What you will notice is that you don’t have controls for skipping back a track or any volume commands.
