About this deal

Stick repeatedly tries to poison George's dog Timmy, prompting George to hatch a secret plan to run away to Kirrin Island. In fact I couldn't get enough of them and even jumped over to the Secret Seven when there were no more Famous Five books to read. She has over 600 children's books to her credit, including the Famous Five series, the Secret Seven series, the Naughtiest Girl series - all Hodder - and the Malory Towers and St Clare's series, both available from Hodder on audio.

Personally, I could not allow my characters over a series of books to remain trapped in a form of endless youth, but then we will see if I ever get to that point. She taught for five years before her 1924 marriage to editor Hugh Pollock, with whom she had two daughters. He takes a lot of control around the Sticks and begins to really take control and organise the Five in a way we haven’t seen before, as they’ve always had the steadying guide of Aunt Fanny in the background. Being such a (movies and books) location fan, “Five run away together” is one of my favorite FF sequels as it takes place on Kirrin Island. I will have to say that I quite enjoyed this book, especially with the nice little twist at the end.

The book is a great Book the famous five start of coming to there aunts house in kirrin and they have a placement cook because the outher was I'll and they don't like the cook and when gorges Luther falls I'll and her father rushes her to hospital things get worse and they all reside to run of to kirrin island. These kids would probably grow up into adults where they would marry and cheat and birth the type of kids that they despised when they themselves were children. They plan to spend time exploring Kirrin Island but their happiness is spoilt when Aunt Fanny falls ill and has to leave with Uncle Quentin to be treated in a far-off hospital.

If I remember it right, this is not the only hospitalization of Aunt Fanny, so in the other sequels she very well could have had an ulcer from worrying so much about Quentin or a gallbladder removal. So, the children run away and discover a cave, which they set-up to make all homely for themselves, while hatching a plan to bring the housekeepers to justice.Personally, I do sympathise with George because, even though I do love my Dad, I must admit that I experienced that from him when I was younger as well. Mr Stick is captured through a police-sanctioned gambit that puts a child (Julian) at great risk and has no reasonable chance of success. In the past people have suggested that the Famous Five behaved appallingly towards the Sticks and their dog; however last week the person I was talking to suggested that the Five’s behaviour was totally justified.
