By default, the JetBlade system is turned off, but tap the self-clean button three times and it turns on, with the Eufy Mach V1 Ultra blowing hot air out of the back to help dry floors. That’s because the vacuum uses JetBlade Technology, which uses fans to dry the floors almost instantly. Before using the product, I added cleaning solution and turned on the cleaning solution switch, which activated a cool, living oxygen blue light. It said charge for 4 hrs, but mine was 100% charged after maybe an hour at the most (I wasn’t paying a ton of attention). Each press of the trigger on the vacuum’s handle released steam onto the floor and did an impressive job getting up some nasty dried ketchup stains.

I’m not sure how you’d get around this other than making sure you always mop in a forward direction or lowering the angle so the brush isn’t touching the floor while pulling it back for the next sweep. In fact I feel faintly embarrassed that I’m eulogising over a floor cleaner, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more stylish looking model. Much of the information the vacuum’s LCD screen provides has to do with the working status of the vacuum.It was tested on its ability to vacuum up dust, dried mud, long hair, sock fluff and the odd bit of guinea pig hay. The vacuum ships fully assembled, so all you have to do to install it is plug the charging dock into an outlet and set the vacuum on top of the dock. The V1 Ultra not only saves you a ton of time, but it packs in a ton of high-end features that will make you almost enjoy cleaning. Most hard floor cleaners will deal with this mess, but need to saturate the area first and then be held over the mess for a long period to clean it.Other stick vacuums we have reviewed include five or more attachments to get into deep crevices, pick up animal fur, or to suit different floor types, while the Mach V1 Ultra doesn’t have any of these additional accessories. Having heaved it out of the box – it arrives fully assembled – I was immediately drawn to the V1 Ultra’s shiny glass-like finish, the rounded Apple-like flushness of the various components and the design of the smooth rubbery handle that provides a host of gripping positions. With its three compartments and a filter, the V1 Ultra requires more attention than your typical vacuum after using it. Mind, the dirty water tank can be a bit fiddly to refit so be sure to position it carefully before giving it a firm push. the MACH V1 Ultra is quite light for an upright and it’s very easy to push around, especially on hard flooring for which it is ultimately designed.
