If you'd prefer not to plug it into an electrical outlet or you're after a budget-friendly option, go for a manual breast pump that lets you take control of your feeding and pumping process. This isn’t like other sterilisers where you have a specific place for the bottles/teats etc, it all just kind of gets chucked in and the bottles lay flat rather than upright.

Also the products let off a lot of steam and can make the kitchen quite wet, I feel the bottle warmer needs a cover over it. Electric steam sterilisers are usually powered by a metal plate which heats to produce steam and is a highly effective way to kill bacteria without additional chemicals required. The MAM 6-in-1 electric steriliser won a Made for Mums gold award in 2018 and I can see why: it’s a multi-use gadget that’s easy to set up and operate and won’t take up masses of room on your kitchen worktop. Overall definitely recommend, it took a bit of getting used to cleaning them in 6 parts but I can put them together in my sleep now, and from looking online most anti colic bottles have lots of components, and these actually look easier than most! This was very annoying, as I had to discard the food as it was too watery and made a lot of mess feeding the baby!
Because for us, there is nothing more worthwhile than supporting the healthy development of babies and making parents’ daily life easier. Trying to work it out with the table in the instructions booklet requires a strong pair of glasses and a degree. If you know that you'll need a steriliser and a bottle warmer this is definitely the product to go for. The first thing to strike me about the 6-in-1 steriliser is the size: it doesn’t take up masses of room on the worktop and I could tuck it nicely into a corner in our kitchen.So we have had to invest in extra size 1 teats like the smaller bottles in this set for the bigger bottles. Hannah: The only thing I think that could be improved is providing a container to use to freeze either milk or first stage food so that the defrosting setting is consistent as in the instructions it is only a ‘guide’ based on the container used. I would describe ours as medium capacity and there are only a few centimeters on either side of the device when in the microwave.
Warming up baby food from the fridge takes 9 and a half minutes, which honestly feels too long for me!MAM pride themselves on designing products to help make parents’ lives easier and the 6-in-1 electric steriliser and express bottle warmer is an all-singing, all-dancing bit of kit. Although I cannot use the microwave sterilising option, as I do not own a microwave, I am confident this could also be useful to many mums. They don’t require electric or a microwave and the bags are so small they’ll fit anywhere and won’t take up any room in your suitcase.
Whilst the product initially looks a little complicated, once I read the instructions, I found it easy to use with only a couple of buttons and lights to highlight each program. Coming in at 28x28x16cm it’s not exactly compact, but given everything that it does, the overall size is quite impressive, especially as you save room only having one device. This compact device in an on-trend grey colour can be used for either electric or microwave sterilising, keeping your items sterile for up to 48 hours. This starter set comes with teat size 1, however there is a size 0 available for smaller babies or babies who are slower feeders.I find that the electric sterilisation appears to be much quicker than other sterilisers that I’ve tried. For travel I can’t really comment but I wouldn’t really use it for travelling, it isn’t exactly small and compact. Not only is the interface easy to understand (once you know what to look for), but it is also easy and practical to keep clean.
