About this deal

The Maxfli Tour best fits mid-to-low handicap golfers who swing driver 95 mph or faster, and prioritize greenside feel and control. There was a time when Maxfli golf balls rivaled Titleist golf balls as the best and most popular in the game. Maxfli is a house brand ball made at the same factories as many other DTC balls so why pay for the most expensive DTC ball when others are exactly the same. This ball also features a larger, redesigned core that is built to create more ball speed off the tee, like some of the options featured on our best balls for distance guide.

But for someone else, they may find that it's indiscernible and they're not paying more for what they perceive is the same performance. Things changed, however, around the turn of the century after the release of the Titleist Pro V1, as solid core golf balls became the future and wound golf balls died a slow death. I'm just a blue collar guy and I am looking for the most economical ball I can find that fit into the specs I like. With that said, and given the affordability of these balls, we strongly recommend any low-to-mid handicap golfer on the market for a budget-friendly, premium ball to do their own testing and comparison between the two to find which one best suits their game. Most notably the Tour X is a four-piece construction and it features a slightly larger core, design elements that have been utilized to deliver low spin off the tee, making it a great choice for players with faster swing speeds. Before we detail how the Tour and Tour X performed in our testing, let’s take a look at how the two balls compare to each other, the pros and cons, and which option is likely the better fit for you. It is just the idea that just because they are popular they need to squeeze as much profit as possible; that bothers me. The Maxfli brand has enjoyed a resurgence in the golf ball market in recent years by developing products that perform on the course and offer golfers tremendous value for money.

Some golfers will find it easier to get greater distance out greater distance from a golf ball they can compress more easily, than one that needs a higher swing speed to get the most yardage from. We had a group right behind us, so I couldn't hit the Tour to compare -- usually, I clear it -- or like the last round with the Vice, I clipped the leaves at the top and sadness ensued. The Tour ranked fifth, second and joint sixth longest across the 85/100/115mph speeds while being bang on average for spin and distance with the 7-iron. I have not compared the Mizuno ball, but did compare the Bridgestone Tour B X to the 2022 Maxfli Tour.In my opinion (and verified by a reputable published ball test) I’ve found the Maxfli Tour to equal the ProV1’s performance in many areas.

IF you happen to slice a lot, you will probably be slicing even more with the Kirklands thinking that you're doing something wrong when it may in fact just be the ball. My launch monitor testing found this claim to be accurate – I could find no consistent difference between the two. The Tour X was also stable in the wind and shots into strong headwinds still yielded significant rollouts. In fact the performance is so close that I am more than willing to give up a few hundred RPM of Backspin and 2-3 yards. Similarly, the higher compression ratings of these balls mean they’re best for players with faster swing speeds.

It will show some little marks and whatnot from three rounds for sure, but overall it's very durable.

Sam graduated from Webber International University in 2017 with a BSc Marketing Management degree while playing collegiate golf. Whether you’re looking for a premium golf ball or a budget golf ball, Maxfli has an option for you, and in this guide we’ll explore the best Maxfli golf balls to help you make a great choice for your bank account and on-course needs. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. While both balls are urethane-covered, higher compression balls, there are some subtle differences between the Maxfli Tour and Tour X. The 4 piece construction consist of a soft inner core, firm outer core, a Ionomer mantle with aerodynamic 318 dimple cast Urethane cover.Wedges: Titleist T300 48* GW w/Fubuki MV Senior shaft and Edison forged 53* and 57* wedges with KB PGI Senior shafts(80 grm). It’s no slice correction ball such as the Polara, or Bridgsetone E6, but it does help my baby draw stay a baby draw.
