About this deal

And not only dusk, sometimes you need to enter in some places where you do not have bright light even at day time. Clearly with the latter, we get the extra stop and more reach, especially with the tele extender, but how does it compare for sharpness etc.

Image quality wide open is spectacular, and stopping down some enhances it very little – it is that good wide open. I have strong reasons to suspect this was not an issue of misalignment, if it happened to one lens, possible, but two lenses, maybe it was the IS system messing up. And it is the lens that is more than adequate for most usual shooting circumstances, unless you shoot often in extremely low light conditions of course. The last is apparently a "heresy" and triggered a long back-'n-forth with a lot of nonsense claimed.

Dear Robin and Ming, nothing to do with tbis specific article, but perhaps you can do me favour: the articles are virtually not legible on my mobile phone LG G4 in firefox browser. It’s not as wide either, and I can’t seem to find much information on how well the stabilization performs. So while characteristics like vignetting and distortion appear really well-controlled, it's likely that software is partly responsible. give a little more bite but more importantly it sharpens up the corners making this lens excellent for landscape work at any focal length. DPReview readers have spoken: after two rounds of voting, it's time to announce the winner of our 2023 Reader's Choice Product of the Year award, along with a couple of honorable mentions. There is a lock button on the lens hood and so far it appears to keep the hood on when reversed or on when used as intended.

They just know they are M43 users and those lenses do not give the same field of view as a 12-100 on their camera bodies. The cost of creating a lens of such a large zoom range (12-100mm) with optimum optical performance throughout is the weight and size of it. However, I can imagine that after the arrival of the 150-400mm lens, nature photographers will only need two lenses in their backpacks – the 12-100mm and 150-400mm. A MSC autofocus system provides quick, quiet, and precise focusing performance to benefit both still photo shooting and movie recording. They way to avoid this is to state a belief, uncover the facts no matter how much you disagree with them and uncover the truth or the best available solution. The right hand is not holding any weight to speak of – so it doesn’t matter how large the lens is to me.
