About this deal

Talk to God—Goddess—All-That-Is about what you want, with the full expectation of receiving exactly that, or something even greater that the Universe may have in mind for you. Given that many of us are still spending lots of time at home these days, it makes sense to want an area, however small, that’s all yours.

What we put into our bodies in the form of food has a profound effect on how well we function in the world. To be honest, I have two altars – my personal magickal one in my bedroom away from prying eyes and inquisitive fingers, and my fireplace in the lounge. A spell incorporates conscious use of the imagination, and then adds the dimension of crafting a physical item to be a container for the creative life energy you are stirring with your spell.

They may represent spiritual entities that we revere, or gods or goddesses that we commune with, but these objects are not idols. Offering bowl (a metal bowl you can burn things in, give offerings or mix up brews for anointing etc) – see what you’ve got in the kitchen cupboard, or go fancy and invest in a mini cauldron (aka mini potjie pot! Filled with soothing rituals, healing potions, and empowering spells, the Wellness Witch brings a touch of magic to the everyday. These are placed on the altar for some time, ranging from the length of the circle and spell-casting itself to months or even years, depending on the spell. Generally, most spells will be left out, working on the altar, from three days to several moon cycles.

A religion/spirituality dating back over a century, there’s a lot of history and especially a lot of variations when it comes to Wicca. It's a sacred space you regularly come to when you need inspiration, healing, peace, comfort, and meditation during life's turbulent times. The objects on your altar represent the elements, spirits, feelings, intentions, even specific goddesses or gods that you would like to connect with in your spiritual practices. We will be regularly updating this blog with spells to aid you with living your best life, that our witches have hand-curated for you with love and positive intention. And today we are going to answer these questions for anyone and everyone that sought us out or stumbled upon us. Place your stone on the Northern side of your altar and welcome the spirits of the North: the earth, nourishment, stability, grounding. For example, burning a piece of paper, mixing up a magickal herbal brew, or leaving small cakes to honour the Fae folk on Samhain. My greatest advice is to tune in to your intuition and most alive intentions right now,” Pichinson says. This is good practice for consciously collaborating with the Universe in creating your everyday life too.

Some may even choose to have an item for each element such as something from nature for earth, a candle for fire, incense for air, and shells or blessed water for water. Ancestor altars are often created for memorials or funerals to honor the one who has passed for that day, for those attending. Look for a flat rock (with a slight indentation would be amazing) and a rounded rock you can use in your hand.If you’re fire-safety conscious (as all good witches should be), it’s fine if you extinguish the candle when you’re done—just don’t blow it out. Carefully and consciously we tend to our altars and turn them into rivers of magic, always full, always flowing.
