About this deal

Can't comment on growth rate or value for money etc as I haven't yet grown any of the seeds but if 50% percent of them grow to full size I suppose they're worth the money. Black Sunflower Seeds Bucket 47-05-9043 47-05-9043 Black Sunflower Seeds are rich in protein and contain a high oil content, providing wild birds with vital fats and energy they need.

Thin-skinned, tasty and packed with oil and protein, black sunflower seeds are a real, year-round alternative to peanuts at a significantly lower cost. Birds love our high-oil, recleaned black sunflower seeds because we’ve specially selected them for the energy-giving oil content. This variety has grown bigger and faster than the other 3 varieties I’m growing and has been the first to bloom. We understand that every gardener wants success, and the foundation of that lies in the quality of the seeds and plants they choose. Black sunflower seeds are an excellent food for a good number of garden species and notably Greenfinches, Great tits and Coal tits.I think I have spoilt the birds in the past with the sun flower seeds, they have difficulty getting these out of the feeder, think i need a different feeder. this product should ideally fed in a seed feeder, however it can be fed on the ground or on a table. That's the thing about seeds, you don't know for certain what you're gonna get from them but they are F1 hybrids so should closely match the description.

The black sunflower seed is popular with our smaller garden guests, as it’s easier to open than striped sunflowers because of a softer shell. See our product range that we've tailored to meet the needs of healthy pets of all sizes, ages and breeds. Sunflower seeds are rich in oil and protein a high energy provider which will attract many birds including Finches, Woodpeckers and members of the Tit family. Wild birds absolutely love black sunflower seeds and it is easy to see why – they are bursting with great nutrition that keeps them healthy. Well cleaned few stalks left but many barley grains leaving a good crop of plants earlier in the year and occasional maize grains and the odd wheat grain.these thin skinned black sunflower seeds are packed with oil approx 40 and protein, making them an ideal source of energy and heat for birds, and offer a highly economical year round alternative to peanuts. Black Sunflower Seeds are high-energy, high in fibre and nourishing, with plenty of protein and essential vitamins and minerals.

Most birds eat only the core and they either peel their seeds at the feeding site or take the seed and put it elsewhere. Decent seed mix So far the seed mix has only attracted wood pigeons and they enjoy hoovering up what€™s on offer apart from one of the grains which they seem to set aside.Without the strong beaks like the Finches they must first hammer the Black Sunflower Seed with their sharp beak, breaking the husk to get to the seed inside. Versatile in how you decide to feed them, Black Sunflower Seeds can be offered from any type of feeder or simply scattered on the ground. Black sunflower seeds have a thinner husk compared to striped sunflower seeds, making it easier for birds such as finches to quickly remove the husk and get to the highly nutritious and kernel.
