I did enjoy the banter between Mac and Freya and I liked that they fought like an old married couple. aaand the h can be quite annoying sometimes and her humor can be kinda cringey and not in a good way like The Office.Daws exposes the "the lying voice" we hear all of the time in our heads and it was a strong moment when Freya finally realizes she has been a prisoner of it all these years.

I really loved Freya's character and how sweet her friendship with Mac, who is a big Scottish soccer player. The author infused the story with enough humor and heart to make it an enjoyable and entertaining read! He made it up in the end, but I feel like there was too much of a push from him when he clearly needed her in ways, he couldn't admit to himself while the whole world saw it.

But with all of the lousy dating experiences she has had and the way she was raised with horror stories about The Sex, she is about to turn thirty and anxious. Even if you think someone is out of your league doesn’t mean you start saying you can’t be seen in their presence because of what others might think.
