A USB-C port is located on the rear of the device for connecting the keyboard directly to a PC using the included cable, and/or for charging the device. This gave us more than enough confidence that we wouldn’t double press or completely miss a letter while typing. Speaking of the MasterPlus+ software, the CK721 was one of the first Cooler Master products to support it.They go against the CK721’s high build quality with tons of stem wobble, and we found them to be pretty noisy, too. To switch between the Bluetooth devices, you would simply hit the FN key plus one of the profile keys (DEL, PGUP, PGDN) to switch. Outside of the one issue we had with the software, our overall experience with the Cooler Master CK721 was excellent. Unfortunately, figuring out how to setup macros without the software took some time as the quick start guide and the documentation found on Cooler Master’s site did not really go through the process. It would have been nice to only have a single USB-C cable on our desk, so this is pretty disappointing. All three keyboards have a lot of the same features and build quality, but CK721 offers features like swappable aluminum faceplate(s), PlayStation and Xbox support, and the ability to connect wirelessly via Bluetooth or over a 2.However, this design is also because the metal frame is removable so that users can potentially swap out the plate with another color or print their own cover. After some time playing with the settings, I found that the lowering the green value by quite a bit showed as Orange in the Masterplus+ software, but yellow on the Ck721. Having to perform some key functions through a combination of key presses can prove cumbersome on a 60/40 percent keyboard. I will say that I was super glad to see the corner knob for quick adjustments, even if they were just for volume. Typing on the keyboard is enjoyable for the most part but if you are used to full sized keyboards it does take some time getting used to due to the format itself.
