Considering I had just had a full head of bleach highlights and has a tendency to feel dehydrated and a tad wiry straight after it actually felt as if I had just had a deep conditioning hairmask on for 20 minutes. I play around with the colours and make it warmer or cooler depending on what I fancy by changing the amounts of lilac (cooler colour) and violet (warmer colour). For best results use on bleached or pre-lightened hair, although some shades may give a sheen or hint of colour to darker hair.

Lilac’s enchanting results of pale purple are perfect for creating flowing manes with a soft glam style. The Pre Colour Shampoo will balance your hairs PH before dying whilst removing excess oils to ensure the best results from the Hair Colour. Dry – When applying on dry hair I brush it all through first so it isn’t full of knots and use the tinting brush, starting at the roots, to brush downwards from root to tip.

Directions Lilac is a light pastel shade of purple which means it is best used on bleached blonde or platinum hair. La Riche Directions Lilac Hair Dye is a pastel shade of purple, perfect for creating a gorgeous light hairstyle. Having a slightly red toned forehead is not a good look and I soon realised how useful Vaseline is along the hairline if you’re dying all your hair!

Directions lilac hair dye is a subtle, pretty purple dye that works well with pinks and purples like Carnation and Lavender. Some people like to use Directions Lilac on yellow hair to help reduce any brassy orange tones, although it is important to note that La Riche Lilac is a hair dye and not a toner so may only give a subtle change. I wash my hair every other day because it is fine and becomes greasy a lot quicker than others, I sometimes get an extra day inbetween with the help of my Batiste Dry Shampoo (what a total life and time saver! Adding the colour to the bottle of conditioner will save time if you want to keep the colour going for a while as you don’t have to mix it up each time but this means you can’t play around with the shades as much.Whilst the Colour Care Shampoo and Conditioner have been developed to be kind to your hair and will ensure your colour lasts! Once I have done all of one side I flip it back to the centre parting and do the same on the opposite side. This will balance your hair's PH before dying and remove excess oils to ensure the best results from the Hair Colour.
