Regardless, this first issue is all setup with a weak cliffhanger and a throwaway backstory that reads like an Animal Rights PSA. Pak’s backup doesn’t have any apparent connection to the main story, and it reads like an animal rights PSA, so you can take it or leave it without missing anything. all this was taken away when the shuttle that brought the Hulk to Sakaar suddenly exploded, killing millions of people and destroyed hulk's kingdom along with his wife Caiera and their unborn child, and Hulk was not happy.One of the most interesting (and slightly confusing) aspects of his character is how many different versions of the Hulk actually exist. Enraged, Hulk absorbed all the planet's radiation after just one small step of his began rocking his tectonic plates. Thankfully, Korg has also joined the fight but their might really isn’t a match for what they are up against.

By any standard, the Hulk is one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe, and he's usually one of the strongest too. As the Hulk attacks the Warbound, Miek reveals the explosion that started this war was not caused by the Illuminati, but by Red King loyalists. Without understanding the High Priestess’s motivations and goals, the conclusion comes off as hollow. What if you could see the ramifications of every mistake you ever made, amplified over time, reverberating through the lives and deaths of hundreds, of thousands of people? He seems to have resurfaced after Bruce regained his Hulk powers, his anger tempered from its "Worldbreaker" levels by another confrontation with Skaar, and was proven even strong enough to take down the Red Hulk without much of a fight despite the Red Hulk continuously absorbing the Hulk's radiation to empower himself. There’s enough intrigue to get you to wonder what happened to Hulk, but this issue is not a strong start. Working with Banner's intelligence and cooperation, Hulk took control of the planet Sakaar, bringing peace to the land, marrying and even conceiving two children, Skaar and Hiro-Kala.

Really love it – so much so that it pains me to say that Greg Pak may have just been a one-hit wonder. Banner absorbed all of Robert Reynolds' energy and even the fact Sentry passed out after both had reverted to their human state but Banner remained standing with glowing eyes and displayed an ability to transform back into the Hulk to defend Rick Jones when the latter came under danger.
