The satisfaction I get from poetry boils down to this: When I read a good poem, I think to myself, “Wow, I didn’t know words could do that. Interestingly, jellyfish thrive in polluted situations that kill everything else and thus there has been a dramatic increase in jellyfish along the coasts of our continents. As someone in his early 70s who has been "inhaling" books ever since he could hold one, I have read many thousands of books over six-plus decades. These Net Geo readers are divided into Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, with titles including Planets , Dinosaurs , Sea Otters , Trucks , Ancient Egypt, and more.

I’m in awe of Lisa-Ann Gershwin’s passion and efforts in identifying, documenting, and studying these strange little (and not so little)creatures taking over the planet. The observers whose relief at seeing the swallows hinders their ability to read the message the birds are trying to pass on. Becoming Jellyfish is a children's book that explores the fascinating transformation of a jellyfish from a tiny egg to an adult.Written and illustrated by Julia Kuo, the book features a child and an adult discovering different bioluminescent creatures, accompanied by simple yet informative text and sidebars that share scientific facts about each of the creatures. Rooted in her island home, Ness Owen’s second collection explores what it is to subsist with whatever the tides bring in poems that journey from family to politics, womanhood and language. In this delightful children's book, "I Am Not a Fish," author and former Disney animator, Peter Raymundo, brings to life the story of a jellyfish named Edgar who struggles with his identity. I also appreciated how the plot moves from the present to the past and showed the truth about Suzi’s friendship in the end.

After writing 14 children’s books about art appreciation, I decided to try my hand at children’s poetry. In "Jessie the Jellyfish," author Laurie Newman tells the tale of a lonely jellyfish living in the polluted waters of our oceans. Finally, soft corals, sea pens and sea pens are colonial animals, often growing fixed to submerged rocks. The novel addresses the heavy topic of caring for one’s aging parent, who is in the throes of dementia. June the Jellyfish is a heartwarming story about a timid little jellyfish who loves to dance but struggles to connect with other sea creatures due to her shyness. How silence can say more than noise, or a person's absence can occupy even more space than their presence did. Luckily, their teacher Mr Narwhal helps Jellyfish understand how he can deal with his feelings and together they work out how to repair Jellyfish's friendship with Swordfish. Now he has traveled across the world and all the way Down Under to Australia, a shockingly under-discovered country with the friendliest inhabitants, the hottest, driest weather, and the most peculiar and lethal wildlife to be found on the planet.

Moon Jellyfish Can Barely Swim is about survival through understanding ecology and the natural world as well as understanding our limitations and enabling our ability to connect with and build relationships with others. Jessie takes us on a journey of heartbreak and hope as we learn that even hermit crabs are compromising by using baked bean tins instead of shells for their homes. If you are inspired to look deeper, the living animals can be found in rock pools and coastal waters, although some may require snorkelling or diving.

With "Jellyfish," young readers can embark on an exciting underwater adventure and discover the fascinating world of these incredible creatures, including their unique life cycle, stinging abilities, and important role in the ocean's ecosystem. My 3-year-old daughter, who has been obsessed with jellyfish lately, absolutely loved exploring the large colorful pages. The author of this book spends a great deal of time also noting how dangerous antioxidants are, how they work against health, and explains, in a lot of detail, why this is so. Field Studies Council Jellyfish features 28 jellyfish and allied species of the British and Irish coast.
