About this deal

The LG 34GN850 provides fantastic vibrancy with its 115% sRGB and 94% DCI-P3 coverage brought about by its Nano IPS tech. Horizon Zero Dawn at Ultra settings ran at around 65 to 70 FPS in-game depending on whether the graphics card was overclocked or not, and while this is nowhere near the high 160 Hz refresh rate, Adaptive-Sync (this display is also certified G-Sync Compatible), kept gameplay smooth. Dimensions, weight and color Information about the dimensions and the weight of the specific model with and without stand as well as the colors, in which it is offered to the market. Yes, on specific games (mainly those with an isometric camera, like in Hades) you can see the VA smearing, which is not present on the ips.

High-performance monitors are one of his fixations and he believes that it’s every citizen’s right to enjoy one. You won’t need scaling with this model, but a powerful top-end GPU is required if you want max settings at high refresh rates. Its 21:9 aspect ratio is great for multitasking, and its excellent coverage of the Adobe RGB color space makes it suitable for content creators. As expected, we are seeing 27GL850-like performance from this monitor, almost matching its response time and inverse ghosting performance. The 34GN850-B has a faster response time, better reflection handling, and it has better black uniformity, although the latter could be due to panel variance. The LG 34GN850-B is better overall than the Samsung Odyssey G5 C34G55T, but they have different panel types. Only the Odyssey G7 and G9 have been able to work out the slow dark pixel transitions present in VA panels.

The LG 34GN850 has great brightness, nearly 400 nits which is in keeping with its DisplayHDR 400 rating, although it does lack true HDR functionality. The backlight is rated at 350 cd/m2 with a 440 cd/m2 peak, while the contrast ratio is listed at 1000:1, unlike other Nano IPS models. Display Information about the main characteristics of the display - panel, backlight, resolution, refresh rate, etc.For many people this is probably not significant, but it does reduce the monitor's heat output which we've heard people complain about at times for various monitors.

The 34GK950F had a large and wide Y-shaped stand with a circular pillar, which wasn't the easiest to operate for height adjustment. However, my 34GN850 had a lot less IPS glow in the bottom left and right corners than my 34GK950F, this monitor (at least our unit) was much better than average for IPS glow and while it's not perfect - very few IPS monitors are - I don't think you'll notice this issue in most conditions.

LG have also found a way to increase the refresh rate, now topping out at 160Hz, up from 144Hz, through an overclocking option in the OSD. We know gamers usually prefer headsets, but a good quality pair is always nice to have for movies, casual gaming, and teleconferencing.

The LG 34GN850 features a matte display surface, reducing glare and reflections for a comfortable viewing experience. It's fairly sturdy despite its full plastic construction and the stand is stable, with only a bit of wobble.
