About this deal

Taking out Juliet's double crossing father was supposed to be a simple job but finding his little dove changes everything. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. This is a gangster/Badby book, but the male character melts you heart as well your pants🥰🤣 Joe Arden is one of my favourite narrators so he was brilliant, Lexi Maynard is new for me but she fit the characters voice, both where good but female narrator is more dominant as the story is about her.

We live together in Lancashire with our dog Oscar, and spend our time together outdoors trying to wear out the children in the hope they'll sleep, curled up in our pyjamas watching The Greatest Showman for the forty seventh million time, and planning our next adventure. You must be over 18 years of age to join, and you must have a public profile prior to sending a request to become a member. While some of the things in this story are not my idea of fun and frivolity, I can appreciate that the characters in Little Dove were in their happy place. Maximo’s and Juliet’s relationship was completely captivating as they emotionally moved from one place to the next. When she's not writing, Layla Frost is an insomniac with a deep love of iced coffee, tchotchkes, plants, and her hens.

I enjoyed the story for what it was and I can see myself revisiting it again at some point in the future. It wasn’t the age gap that felt off, it was the lack of contact, grooming, manipulation, controlling/rewarding of a vulnerable immature teen with no-one and no where to go. If you'd like to keep updated with Little Dove's news I have a mailing list I'd love for you to join. I’m fascinated with observing something that I wouldn’t do myself and I love trying to understand the appeal, dynamics, and acceptance. Juliet is the yin to Maximo's yang, she is the light to his dark, and we learn he is undoubtedly her daddy.Juliet’s father is a bad man, he beats her and has used her to save himself on many occasions only this time she finds herself free from her father but at the mercy of the man who killed him. The first 30% was completely pointless tbh, and the book would have been so much better if she had already been 18 in the beginning and we had more dialogue and buildup to them finally getting together, instead of them barely having any dialogue and then having s*x right as she turns 18. I’m kind of liking authors writing stories where the taboo, unusual, and different is accepted as normal and people just minded their own business. Watching him earn Juliet’s trust was heartwarming, and learning what he would do to protect her had me loving this author all the more. Maximo knew the moment that he saw Juliet that she was more than just a pretty girl with terrible luck, but at 17yo she shouldn’t have even been on his radar—so he relegated himself to the role of her caretaker.
