About this deal

The supporting cast includes Maggie Steed ( Ten Percent), as Kate's late mother, and David Bradley ( Doctor Who) in an undisclosed role. Her PTSD and sleeping pill habit made her a doubtful witness to those around her, despite the fact she is certian what she is seeing is real.

Read all Kate Rafter is back to home after a horrific incident in war-torn Iraq and the death of her mother. I checked it out because it said it was about a high school girl whose older sister develops anorexia when she goes to college. How this book made me feel: this novel started creating tension from the first pages, and it kept the intrigue going all the way till the very last page.

A winner for those drawn to murky psychological suspense, like that of Ruth Rendell, Karin Fossum, and Flynn Berry in Under the Harrow. Since I first read it, I've read the book a few more times, the same copy in the same library where I originally read it.The main character Kate’s horrific and life altering experiences from her time as a war correspondent, guarantees this novel packs a punch. I have to say I was very impressed by the way the author captured the atmosphere of the place and gave it a very believable sinister edge. I think there was too much going on, and yet, nothing felt like it carried the weight it should have. I really enjoy reading through a teenager's lens, especially when they seem to be the only one that has any sense in the whole book, even if they do something stupid and completely teen-agery on the next page.

The first half of the story is told through the narrative of Kate, interjected with memories of the past - from her childhood as well as her professional life, present day and an interview currently taking place at Herne Bay Police Station - an interview which lasts over several days.

The 13 Films slate includes Luke Evans and Alex Pettyfer starrer 5lbs Of Pressure; Blackwater Lane starring Minka Kelly, Dermot Mulroney and Maggie Grace; recently completed murder mystery Helen’ s Dead with Tyrese Gibson, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Emile Hirsch and Matilda Lutz; and high seas survival thriller Flycatcher from director Phil Volken.

In this gripping, timely debut, Nuala Ellwood brings us an unforgettable damaged character; a haunting, humanizing look at the Syrian conflict; and a deeply harrowing psychological thriller that readers won't be able to put down. EXCLUSIVE: Olga Kurylenko ( Black Widow), Jenny Seagrove ( Another Mother’s Son), Anna Friel ( Marcella) and Ben Miles ( The Crown) have wrapped production on the under-the-radar psychological thriller My Sister’s Bones, whose first-look images we can reveal today.

As well as her job, Kate’s retelling of her abusive childhood is also awful and you just feel so bad for her. With his track record and passion for producing outstanding British drama, including the award-winning Broken and the recently released Another Mother’s Son, I am delighted that My Sister’s Bones will be brought to the big screen by such a dynamic and visionary producer. The heroine could use a bit of common sense occasionally but otherwise good character development for all the players.
