When I first got this I thought I had a problem because with 10 sprays I got hardly anything, after a few months I get marzipan for an hour or so before fading to absolutely nothing. This has excellent performance for year round wear, but the sweeter woody profile make it most appropriate for spring through fall or chilly nights.
However, Aoud Vanille is more complex and has stronger performance, with an oud-ier presence up front. I like to spray this on the back of my hands and the tops of my knees so I can smell wafts of it throughout the day.
It sounds like an advertisement :) , but I am very pleasantly surprised after so many years of collecting perfumes. Especially in the dry down, it's surprisingly floral, which I guess may be the "herbal" notes in the base interacting with other ingredients but it is actually really nice and may make this wearable even in warmer weather. Some spice or even citrus could make this wearable, but as it is it's just too suffocating and unpleasant.
Both fragrances are still detectable on my arm, the Replica is barely there, whereas the Lattafa is much more present. This is gorgeous, date night, Netflix on the couch, on a cold winter's night, in a sweater, and cozy. If not for the long dry down wait and chemical opening I would give this a 10 but that's not the case. I got this because I am desperately looking for a long-lasting dupe of By The Fireplace and this is NOTHING like it. A very good perfume, for a relatively low amount of money (bought it for ca 20€), makes this a GREAT purchase.This Arabian Oud gift set will be perfect for every occasion- birthdays, anniversaries, and for him and her. There is an absolutely unmistakable white floral note in this that I haven't really seen anyone else mention which I find surprising. It is, however, still very interesring in it's own right and there is plenty here to grab your attention and bring your nose into. I don't know what it smells like notes-wise other than sweet, salty, smokey and roasted, because it's very synthetic-smelling.
I know many comments said this fragrance isn’t appropriate for office wear but it’s winter and I like it so I don’t care. In that regard I would say that Ameer Oudh Intense oud is its own fragrance - and as such I'll review.
