BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho is a complex golden rum with a deep, layered and mellow flavour of dried fruits, spices and oaky vanilla.

Bacardi Ochos Anos Rum is created by blending 8 year old rum with rums aged for between 8 and 16 years. It was a rich taste, tingled the tongue, adding heat, forward tasting with a nose aroma and a rich flavor, with a strong after taste.The flavour profile of both rums is consistent, it’s just that the newer bottling took it a few notches higher – it could also be a side-effect of the 8 Year Old sitting in the bottle for longer, but I doubt. Our packaging is eco-conscious: 100% recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable internal fittings made from recycled materials.

This blend is based on the original family reserve, which was created by our founder Don Facundo Bacardí and kept for the family only until only a few years ago. Inspired by a family recipe from 1862, BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho 8 year old rum is known as The Family Reserve. This 8 year old rum from the Bacardi range is more than suitable for sipping neat, but it also works incredibly well in cocktails and mixed drinks.In 1862 Don Facundo Bacardi not only set the standards for white rum production by producing the world's first premium white rum, he also produced a number of revolutionary golden BACARDI Rums. The tube and bottle have that sort of retro look that Bacardi go for and is consistent with the usual Bacardi branding.
