The mosty likely reasons for the cut is due to thongs meaning different items of clothing in the UK (thongs refer to female underwear in British English, unlike how they refer to sandles in Australian English, as the episode intended). However, on arrival at Uncle Stripe's house, the kids have forgotten their thongs (their sandals) due to denouncing them as boring, so Bandit has to lug them and the pool toys to the backyard.
