About this deal

Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example.

The small-size aliens were fine and we could count them or just notice them around on different pages. As a picture book, all parents will enjoy reading this story during the daytime or bedtime, the narrative is engaging and the children are fully absorbed in the images. I've managed to get two weeks worth of work out of this one book alone and barely scratched the surface! Anyone who liked Toy Story will fall for Bob, for Bartram's artlessly clever prose and the big, bold, wonderfully-detailed illustrations.

Absolutely my favourite book to read to children, one of their favourites to listen to (though Daddy insisting on reading it never goes down well. The illustration work is the real highlight of the book, especially the larger, zoomed-in spreads and the mix of traditional looks with the modern and unusual – who isn’t going to be impressed by an alien in glasses and a sweater vest? looks at a day in the life of Bob and what he gets up to on the moon: cleaning and tidying, welcoming vistors, performing tricks for tourists and much more. Spaceman Bob embarks on new space adventures with a disappearing moon, a movie career, clone chaos, a right royal disaster and some heartless robots in this anthology.Templar) ‘Every morning Bob rises at six o’clock… has a cup of tea and two eggs for breakfast before leaving for the rocket launch pad. Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. Grandma has just mailed a copy to a young cousin in Western Australia, so hopefully Bob and his aliens (what aliens? As the story progresses, the humorous narrative tells the reader that of course there are no aliens and that Bob is a Moon expert, but the illustrations clearly show aliens on each page - stealing his cake, hiding in a crater, in the bath tub. Readers will delight in spotting all of the aliens that Bob misses noticing as he goes about his work as the man on the moon. Charlotte has always loved the running gag that Bob lives in firm denial of the existence of aliens (despite actually owning an alien dog, and coming into close contact with aliens pretty much every single time he dons a spacesuit). is the 15th anniversary of the creation of Bob, Man on the Moon, celebrate with this anniversary edition.Simon has introduced loads of children's books but is perhaps best known for his series of books following Bob the astronaut including, The Alien-Spotter's Handbook and in the picture book sequel Bob's Best Ever Friend.

You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods. Seller has stated it will dispatch the item within 1 working day upon receipt of cleared payment - opens in a new window or tab . Simon Bartram has illustrated four children's books, including PUMPKIN MOON, about which PUBLISHERS WEEKLY said, "Bartram reinvents David Weisner's TUESDAY with grimacing jack-o-lanterns and a hellfire orange gleam. You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot!Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned. Although it's pure fantasy, Bob does ordinary things, like taking sandwiches for his lunch and vacuuming to keep everything clean and tidy. Each day, a lanky bachelor named Bob leaves his red-brick townhouse and bicycles to a hilltop launch pad. I felt it both related to ordinary life (here on Earth) and yet provided some imaginative ideas about a place so far away and only seen (generally) at night.
