About this deal

Having planned to do this route for a few years we had to postpone for obvious reasons over the last year. For me the best feature is the lists such as best distilleries, best waterfalls and beaches, where to stay. Presenting the most in-depth, relatable, and picturesque guidebook to the North Coast 500 on the market, this is Destination NC500. In the summer of 2016 I visited the western part of the NC500 together with my son for two weeks, my wife joined us for another week (from Inverness to Glen Affric, Durness, Old Man of Stoer, Ullapool, Isle of Skye, Fort William, Glencoe, Loch Awe an then back home).

Wow this was a fabulous Christmas pressie – have been engrossed in it planning using all your information to inspire us!

Whether you are planning to travel the NC500 or have already done it this book will serve as a guide and an excellent reminder of your travels. I was so pleased that I bought a 2nd copy as a gift for my “brand new” motorhoming sister who is itching to discover the NC500 for herself, it doesn’t matter if your a seasoned or complete novice when it comes to visiting Scotland, this book will lovingly guide you every step of the way. It has been presented in such a way that every body, be their preferred accommodation, hotel, caravan/motorhome or tent can get useful information to help their transition around the NC500. We have just completed the NC500, the book was a god send, it pointed out places to visit, eat and diesel stops as well as finding our own, we didn’t do much planning, we are both 66 and we had decide now was the time to go, so we borrowed a tent of our son and off we went and as we went round the coast the more we got into it, what a amazing place, it has taken us 10 days luckily we have no time restrictions, we are now in Skye thinking what a fantastic adventure, something we have never had the chance to do before.

I had been following you on YouTube but had no idea you had a book in the pipeline, it wasn’t till you made your epic trip to the publisher that the penny dropped.Thoroughly recommend this to fellow camper van and motorhome tourers as well as subscribing to their YouTube channel and following their adventures! I've tried to take pictures of the pages I was most appreciative for (very poorly taken I know but hey, I don't profess to be a photographer), and I really would, and do, highly suggest this book if you are thinking of doing the route. The new 220 page version of Destination NC500 guidebook is the most in-depth, relatable, and picturesque guidebook on the market. And for my first book I was blown away the amount of work and detail put into the book is out of this world. What is we run out of fuel, how do we know where we can and can't explore, what about hygiene and facilities, are there plenty of supermarkets, how do we know where the most breathtaking views are.

Even as I opened it, I was impressed by the feel of quality of the materials used for the cover and the pages. Embark on an immersive exploration of the NC500’s diverse regions, from the dramatic cliffs and pristine beaches of the North Highlands to the picturesque villages and lochs of the West Coast. The way each area of the NC500 has been presented only inspires me even more to tick off another of my bucket list. Destination NC500 is a guide that reflects the passion and dedication to the exploration of the Scottish Highlands that Gemma and Campbell hold so dear. Not only will it help you find and understand the beauty along the route, but it will impart what it means to the locals that you meet as you drive. I’ve spent my adult life exploring Scotland and have it pretty well covered, I can’t wait to explore lots more new places that I may never have discovered without this book, all the hidden gems are inside. He’s not one for reading books, but he absolutely loves this one with all the stunning photographs, places to visit along the way, and all the useful tips and information.

Author: Destination Earth Guides Unclassified Published on 1 February 2023 by Destination Earth in the United Kingdom. In-depth, relatable, and picturesque: Destination NC500 guidebook is 220 pages of the most in-depth, relatable, and picturesque guidebook on the market. The incredible beauty of the remote and unforgiving highlands of Scotlands make it one of the most unique places on Planet Earth, a definite bucket-list location for any traveller. The book is not just pretty pictures but chock a block full of useful information for anyone thinking of visiting the region. I was glad to see against the hotels that you have incuded accessibility and against various scenic opportunities if the path etc is suitable for disable people.Haven’t travelled yet, but letting my family see the places we could visit once the weather is more favourable and my family are on vacation.
