A shame that this fragrance always gets canned against its predecessors based on what is currently being produced because the first release was masculine,original and daring while pleasing the masses at the same time.
There aren’t any significant problems with the fragrance, I love it but not everyone’s nose/skin is the same so you may not be left in complete awe. Between it's introduction and its discontinuation I probably wore Gucci Nobile for business and office wear more than any other fougere. I'm very picky about my scents, and I dislike most women's perfume - too basic, flowery and powdery.I personally don't wear fragrances like this too often because they really aren't "me", but this one might grow on me.
The scent is an all year round signature scent, for the sophisticated tasted men, but the sillage is very low and weak (skin scent to arms length) and longevity is poor - 3 hours approximately. This is just a big punch of amber (though there's no amber listed on the notes but that's what I smell) when you spray it on that dries down to a very masculine woodsy smell.I really do enjoy this bottle but I tend to run out of juice pretty fast as this is my second bottle. blond hairsprayed hair, golden jumpsuits and all the 70s references we can see in this one and the 'Love by Chloè' ad (which is frankly when I think she's spot on, really beautiful ad and perfume). It's an amazingly beautiful fragrance and I wish I could get my little paws on a full sized bottle right now, especially since my nose has matured and even though I love the sweet and balanced fragrances, I love some of the mature styles too.
Honestly I really don't understand why the opening is so strong and foul for the first 40 seconds, and then dries down into a much more pleasant scent.This is a very refined elegant note followed and matched with a floral note and slight fruit at the end.
