About this deal

A quick romp (sometimes just a fleeting glance, sometimes more exploration) around some of London's best-known tourist attractions, including Trafalgar Square, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. Feelings are important too – young readers will like the touching ending when Katie and Jack hand over a woolly blanket, purchased at Harrods with the last of their pocket money, to keep the lion’s tummy warm. In a city with so much exciting and interesting aspects, we should encourage our children to embrace it,, and this book presents an opportunity to do just that. At Trafalgar Square, they meet a talking stone lion, and he takes them on a wonderful tour of the city taking in such sights as The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye! The story itself isn't particularly thrilling, but we enjoyed it and have read it a few times since then since the real interest is in seeing all the different places they go to.

A beautiful story to capture any child if looking to use London as a topic or about to visit London itself. Visiting the incredible and famous landmarks that London has to offer are beautiful illustrated in this story.
