About this deal

It was perfect for my 200-level class, and gave me all the information I needed, but I don't think it would be the ideal text for an introductory biology course. Apply what you're realizing as you assemble the neccessary aptitudes to prevail in majors science courses with Life: The Science of Biology. On page 674, some text from the previous page is repeated, and this in turn means that part of the section entitled "Primates and the Origin of Humans" is cut off, even ending in mid-sentence. A poor condition book can still make a good reading copy but is generally not collectible unless the item is very scarce. In addition to the textbooks Life: The Science of Biology and Ecology (Sinauer Associates), she is author or coauthor on numerous articles and book chapters exploring community ecology, species interactions, marine invasions, and ecosystem services important to coastal management.

Volume 1: The Cell and Heredity contains only chapter 1-20 of the tenth edition of the main work, making it perfect for shorter courses which focus on the cell and heredity.Unfortunately, there is one mistake in this book, to be found in chapter 34, "Deuterostomate Animals. LIFE has always shown students how biology works, offering an engaging and coherent presentation of the fundamentals of biology by describing the landmark experiments that revealed them. The reference given is the most complete available, but there may have been other publishers and dates, and some books may have been given alternative titles.
