About this deal

He looked up at me, his eyes bright, his breath all snuffly and excited, and he seemed to be saying, “There you are!

I haven’t shared this theory with anyone, because most people are quite narrow-minded, I find, even my best friends.Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. So when she gets the chance to go to a writing retreat at a remote monastery in Italy, she jumps on it.

She studied music at New College, Oxford, but after a year switched to Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Last but not the least, I would like to say that, I totally loved this novel, combined with finding love and accepting love, written in a well versed manner. The not-so-good: Sometimes the main character is similar between books – but then I don’t read Sophie Kinsella for boring, predictable heroines. Like a glorious dinner party with friends, it left me feeling happy, warm and staying up far later than I should so as not to miss a thing. In an effort to cut down on posts and burnout, my Review Roundups will feature 2-4 books I’ve read or listened to recently. This is a book which has struck a chord with so many people – I wrote it to make people laugh but I think there’s a message in it as well, about life and balance, which maybe we can all take heed of.

It's a joyful, hilarious and heart-warming tale of the challenges we face when we sign up to be part of someone else's life. A fabulous Italian appetiser, like a platter of antipasti, a stunning, satisfying mix of romance and real life; with characters that you will fall in love with, that will leave you smiling with joy. I Owe You One is another impossibly delightful story by Sophie Kinsella, a must-read for her die-hard fans and new readers alike. Ava might not know Dutch’s name, but she knows they’ll stay together even when they head back to London.I’d longed for one as a child, but my parents were the type who keep vaguely promising, then it never happens. Sometimes the characters are just quirky enough, sometimes they’re over-the-top and annoying with it. There are also some more serious moments in this novel dealing with disability and illness, proving that Kinsella can also do this well.
