About this deal

Northern Ireland’s largest pantomime is back for another magical year at the Grand Opera House, Belfast with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

In 2006, John was award an MBE for his charitable services and in 2014 he was awarded a bronze bust of May McFettridge outside The Grand Opera House to honour his many years of bringing smiles to adults and children alike. They turned round to me and said I was on in six minutes, not 60, and I was standing in a three-piece suit and with 12 seconds to go I was stood in front of the camera as May saying ‘Hello Toronto, how are you.John Linehan was a car mechanic before he rose to fame in the guise of his plain-speaking, gap-toothed housewife character, May McFettridge. The eight-show tour had opened on 20 January at the Grand Opera House in Belfast, Jimmy’s birth place though he has lived in Rochdale for many years with his wife May Mulgrew. Northern Ireland’s biggest pantomime will once again be sponsored by Dale Farm, who are delighted to help share the joy of pantomime for another year. On 2 December 2014, John was presented on stage with a bust of May McFettridge to mark his 25th consecutive year of performing at the Grand Opera House's pantomime. As inconceivable as it may sound, does John worry that one day he'll told that he's not needed for the following year's panto?

John made the decision to have private care after being told he would have to wait 10 months for an operation on the NHS. William Caulfield, who has cruised the world with his stand-up show, will regale the audience with stories of everyday life from home and abroad in his hilarious homegrown style. Die Fledermaus was absolutely brilliant and to be beside those guys delivering their songs and witnessing their pitch was unbelievable. She has earned a special place in the hearts of audiences young and old alike with her distinctive bran d of affectionate but well-aimed gibes and witticisms. The hilarious Phil Walker, son of Catchphrase legend Roy Walker, completed the cluesome threesome as court jester Muddles. This year she will be joined by star of stage and screen Ben Richards (Footballers’ Wives, Holby City, Hollyoaks, The Bodyguard) as well as comedy magician and Britain’s Got Talent favourite Mandy Muden and panto favourites Paddy Jenkins and Georgia Lennon.
