In sleep mode the fan slows itself down before switching itself off during the night so you don’t wake up cold. In standby mode, the digital display is dimmed – which does make it a little hard to read in direct sunlight or for those who are visually impaired – however, touch the black control panel, and the display springs to life and brightens considerably to make reading its icons much easier. As you’d expect as the fan speed increases so does the noise, but the MeacoFan 1056P is a remarkably quiet fan, and even at the higher settings it doesn’t get distractingly loud.
