I enjoyed reading this book because in some of the cultures I did not realize one of their customs and normalities.

The book is cleverly done as a counting rhyme, tracking granny’s progress around the world and increasing the number of objects bought as she travels. An entertaining story, while revealing a captivating illustration on each page of the very finest quality. Definitely will use in my teaching as there are multiple opportunities for studying cultures and their history.

The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged. Granny went to Market is a fun book about a Granny flying around the world purchasing different items. At the end of the story a list showing all of Granny's souvenirs and the number that she bought is provided.A beautifully illustrated book, full of detail and colour… Not only is this a counting and rhyming book, it also provides some clear explanations as to unfamiliar terms covered within the text. She lives in southwest England, and enjoys walking and working in her garden as well as doing nothing whenever she has the chance.
