This bottle of Aberfeldy 21 Year Old is an official bottling which was produced in the Highland region of Scotland by Bacardi.The demand for barley as a basic foodstuff during World War I led to the distillery being closed from 1917 to 1919. Furthermore, Aberfeldy whiskies prominently feature a core flavor profile of honeyed sweetness, derived from their use of golden malted barley.

Full-flavoured and medium bodied, creamy on the tongue, with some honeyed notes and plenty of sherry - opens up into a long and lingering finish with orange peel and a hint of oak. The Second World War also caused barley supplies to be cut, and the distillery was again forced to shut down for some of this period. Initially intended as an ingredient for their Blended Scotch, our team of 12 operators are focussed on crafting a Single Malt with fruity and honeyed aromas. This began maturing in refill barrels and Hogsheads, then finished in sweet Semillons white wine casks from Cadillac.

The distillery takes pride in using traditional copper pot stills and slow fermentation to capture the essence of the region's rugged landscapes and rich heritage.
