About this deal

With the increased battery life, there is less a need to charge it as often, so in my opinion this tradeoff just isn’t worth it. Update: Anker aftersales support was kind and interested enough to send me another LC90, which, this time works as it should. Overall, while this is still a well-performing flashlight, for most people I think the original LC90 is a better choice.

So the stick-on lights are wonderful, once your eyes dark adjusted you can wander around the house with no flashlights and just them sense you and come on.According to an organization representative I spoke with in the past, the organization takes consumer confidence seriously and investigates all potential misuses of its standard. There are a broad range of handheld tactical lights on the market, and many of them offer superior performance to the Anker LC90 flashlight.

Having to remove the end cap to charge is pretty annoying for me as it means this cant be left on charge and used as a grab it and go emergency light. If I hold the Anker LC90 to the 50% standard I’ve proposed, the flashlight would have a runtime of less than 2 minutes. The light beam can reach a maximum distance of 200 meters, ensuring visibility in dark environments.

The one thing that is weird about the LC-90 compared to the LC-40 is that you have to unscrew the cap on the back to get to the charging port. Revomed the charger, (which BTW both the charger and the cable are by Anker) and the battery and reinserted it, connectd the charger, light shows green, heating again and torch is stuck permanently on SOS mode even with rear cap detached. The combining with a non-removable battery shortens the torch as you have less metal in total, reducing from two caps with sets of threads to stack over each other to one cap and presumable a smaller thread which is sealed (somehow - glue? When one of the specifications appears to be out of compliance with the standard, it caused me to question if any of the reported information was actually in compliance.Run to exhaustion, leaving this in high mode it ran for just over 4 hours, this is a fantastic run rime. Since the LC90 flashlight has an adjustable beam, I photographed the light at the widest beam and most zoomed in. Advertising a product as having passed certain criteria when it has not been tested to that standard is a serious problem.
