About this deal

In fact, it’s tops for any house where cats frequently come and go, as it’s designed with energy efficiency in mind, with a built-in draught excluder and two magnetic closing locking points to increase insulation. The PetSafe cat flap comes with a cutting template to help with fitting, but note that for doors made of metal, glass or PVC, or to put the cat flap in a brick wall, you will need to purchase the PetSafe installation adapter and tunnel extension.

Try to install your cat flap into a wall, door or window that opens out onto an enclosed or sheltered space. If you have more than one cat, you’ll need to do this for each of them you want to allow to access the outside. Generally items 15kg and below are posted via Royal Mail 48 tracked, with the heavier items 15kg and above being posted via DX next day secure service. The Hub should work with as many pet doors as you have, as well as the upcoming Sureflap Pet Feeder Connect. But with the Sureflap Microchip Cat Flap Connect, up to 32 cats’ movements will be logged and ready to view whenever you like.

The SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect works with the Sure Petcare app using the Sure Petcare Hub (available separately or as part of a set), which sends data from the pet door directly to your phone. The Pi based cat door would be more advanced (probably using a motion sensor to see if a cat is at the door and which side it is at, then unlock depending on curfews and all of this can be changed using a WiFi module on the Pi which means that it would lock a standard cat flap and unlock one as well as giving 'traffic' stats. Since the launch of the Microchip Pet Door Connect in 2017, we have over 4000 registered pets and 2500 homes using the Sure Petcare app. Just send an e-mail to the address given in the imprint or contact the Privacy Officer at the address below. I'd love to take one of the cat flaps apart to see, sadly I don't have the money to throw at it, however I would bet there's at least the option to fit an LCD and buttons to it, however whether they used the same circuit boards as the pet door (meaning all you would need to do is solder onto the empty pads and add some buttons at the least if the app went out) or if they used different circuit boards (meaning much more work would be needed to fit one with an LCD) I've been looking online and some people have made their own DIY solutions (I plan to make a DIY timed cat litter box that opens when the flap locks) and you could make a flap that does the same as the sureflap without the chip reading.Owners of multiple cats can also set exit permissions per pet, to allow one or more cats outside, while keeping others indoors. By far the simplest option is in a UPVC door, where it’s just a matter of cutting a hole in the plastic and securing it in place. With this feature, you can keep unwanted animals from entering your home, and control who comes and goes. nThis may vary slightly depending on the payment method, availability, your location and public holidays. It works with both microchips and the SureFlap RFID collar tag, but allows you to programme it for individual cats.
