About this deal
The only club I have found difficulty with is the driver, which is probably my fault, so I tend to use the three wood much more successfully from the tee. Both hybrids were decent to hit off the tee, but out of the fairway or rough, the lack of extra flex meant they flew very low and were hard to launch.
You’ll also get a lightweight and spacious stand bag, which we rated very highly, and two head covers. Lightweight, durable bag combines a cool authentic look, convenient pockets, and an easy to carry back strap.
The lightweight 460cc forged driver, fairway wood, hybrid, irons and putter make up a set that provides a great combination of distance, forgiveness and control, and is very easy to hit.
The Strata putter is a good model to learn to putt; it helps players line up with clean lines and a square face. Moving onto the irons, and again they’re designed to get your ball up in the air, with a high level of forgiveness on off center hits.Grab these clubs if you are looking for an affordable, quality set of clubs that will give you good quality and forgiveness. They were superior quality compared to other beginner sets and the sets of clubs came in 12, 14, and 16-piece options. The Fairway woods are again oversized creating great forgiveness and create long, high flying shots. The 'ultimate set' with 11 golf clubs is the focus of this review, but there is a nine piece set available too if you want even more value.
And to clarify, it’s not the lack of clubs that’s the issue (you get plenty) it’s just the way they are marketed. While the regular shaft is on the whippier side of regular, there's no doubt this will suit those beginning their golfing journey. Britt Olizarowicz is a former teaching and Class A PGA professional with more than 25 years spent with a golf club in her hand. One of the nice things about the Strata sets is the ability to choose from a few different set makeups.
