I love this product because it has helped cut my bathroom clean-up time which means less scrubbing for me and more me time. Manmade elements can range from a wide variety of atmospheric pollutants and acid rains, to any sort of carry over used in the farming industry, from fertilizers to pesticides. Side note – D/2 will kill off lichen, but slowly, and they will turn yellow or brown when this happens.

While D/2 is safer to use in areas with plants, in the event of excessive exposure, rinse all plants and water in all planted ground areas. This product has been quite popular among those looking for the quick, cheap, and easy to find solution for cleaning biological growth off of gravestones. NOTE: Heavy biological deposits may require repeat applications of D/2 to achieve complete cleaning after detachment. We have all of the biological growths that occur naturally in nature as the natural process that breaks down everything on earth.To prevent such releases into the atmosphere, growers use various tractor-drawn knives and shanks to place it at least 10 to 20 cm (4 to 8 inches) below the soil surface. But, without proper analyzation, it is hard to tell just how these chemical combinations actually interact with one another. Detergents based on polyoxyethylene and similar compounds contain a neutral, polar head group and the tails are composed of hydrophobic oxyethylene chains, or, in some cases, ethylene glycoether chains.

Your individual results will vary – climates and micro-climates can make a huge difference on several factors like length of time to clean, temperatures, local molds and bio-materials, amount of rain, etc. Use the tampico brush to lift up the hardest of bio-materials, scrubbing lightly in a circular motion (don’t use a brush if you have a granular stone! For example, pH 4 is ten times more acidic than pH 5 and 100 times (10 times 10) more acidic than pH 6. I find revisiting a headstone over a 6 month period gets the best results – agitating with a soft brush. Those not in favor of this product point out reasons not associated with easy button reasons of convenience and manufacturer’s claims. For this reason, I didn’t have to use more D/2 – I merely rewetted the residual D/2 with water to ‘reactivate’ it, and used my tampico brush to scrub off some stubborn bio-material. The CCUS and the majority of its conservators through repeated sustained use of this product can find no adverse effect by this, but find it produces better results in a more economical manner. Here is my account and recommendation of a headstone cleaning product that I swear by – D/2 Biological Cleaning Solution. You may not even know which type of stone material is which, but here’s the main thing you need to know: if you see the headstone is made of ‘crystals’ which look like sand (small grains that glitter in the sun), it’s too fragile to clean with scrubbing.

D/2 can be utilized to safely resolve this problem on all wood, stone, masonry, metal, vinyl, and roofing surfaces. Until then, all that we’ve been able to find is that ionic detergents are harsher than nonionic detergents.
