There's lot of cute moments like young Luke pointing to a toy Jar Jar and Vader saying "This isn't the toy you're looking for", or when young Luke is crying after being pushed by young Greedo: "Waaaah! Just let me just be the first to tell you that, if you play your cards right and get him a copy, Darth Vader And Son is gonna have Dad laughing coffee through his nose this year at brunch. Author and illustrator Jeffrey Brown turns run-of-the-mill parenting activities into fun moments full of Star Wars references. Be amused by the Dark Lord teaching Luke and Leia invaluable life lessons and chuckle at the funny illustrations any parent will be able to relate to throughout the year!

so I didn't catch some of the references, but it's still funny, mainly because parenthood is a worldwide experience. Still, there are a lot of Star Wars geeks out there and if you know one who has recently become a dad then this is an excellent choice. If you don't have kids it might still be funny seeing Darth Vader as a father and doing "everyday" type things. Overall, Darth Vader and Son is a fun read for adult Star Wars fans who like a good laugh, as well as for children just learning to love these characters. Each page is well executed and FUNNY which is elevated the more of a Star Wars fan you are, the funnier the book reads.
