The Hollywood Vampires are an interesting blending of three seasoned musicians and one actor that are about as far removed from a supergroup as you could get.

Lzzy Hale‘s guest appearance on “Whole Lotta Love” shows not only her powerful vocals but why she is one of the leaders of the female hard rock movements.

That setlist featured more of their original tunes and has the current lineup with Glen and Chris, which I think is WAY WAY better than Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan. The Doors classic pairing of Five To One and Break On Through is given a working over next and is handled exceptionally well considering the original was more laboured and deliberate. Hollywood Vampires, the self-described "best bar band in the world", consists of core members and rock legends Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Aerosmith's Joe Perry, together with guitarist Tommy Henriksen. This is more of a blues/rock number which is carried by a tough as fuck guitar riff that toys with Cooper’s vocals in a tit-for-tat battle that sees music as the only winner.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. They are joined on stage by Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver) and Bruce Witkin (Grammy-nominated producer). Sure, I’m a big Alice Cooper fan, but for me (and some skeptics) the intrigue of seeing actor Johnny Depp playing in a live setting was the main reason.
