I’m also a sucker for any book that has a good enemies-to-lovers romance, and this one certainly delivered with the bumpy road to love between Meg and Justin. However, Meg is always up for a challenge, and despite the scary prospect of an impending gala dinner, she gets down to work. It all added to the beauty of this book though, making it a great all round package and again has left me wanting more.

One Enchanted Evening is everything you need in a novel when the weather outside demands you snuggle under a blanket with a good book . Such that near the climax I just felt like we were just going through plot-point to plot-point without addressing the emotional beats alongside it. I have to admit that I was concerned going into this one as it's set in the 1960s and I'm not usually a fan of historical fiction. But yeah, it's fiction, and we are allowed to have super friends who can rearrange their plans to help you. Family politics, whimsical stories of the past, and a lot of passion for this project make the tale a lovely read.
