The album contained background music tracks featured in the anime, by Haruhi Suzumiya composer Satoru Kōsaki, along with original audio dramas featuring Hiromi Konno as Akira Kogami, and Minoru Shiraishi, as himself. when I purchased this one but I'm not so sure I'll read the rest unless I can borrow them from someone.

The fourth volume followed with the fourth DVD on September 28, the fifth volume was released on October 26 while the sixth and seventh volumes were released on November 27 and December 21, 2007, respectively. But this isn’t all the translator’s fault – I think the 4-koma format is actually one of this manga’s big weaknesses.I also really didn't like the moe character, her presentation creeped me out, although admittedly I pretty much never like moe characters, so YMMV. In my faulty memory, the cause for my disinterest was an overabundance of strictly "Japanese" references I did not "get" as an American reader.Aside from Pokémon, Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Haruhi, Lucky Star was the first anime series I had heard of, and would eventually become my favorite.

Kadokawa Pictures USA and Bandai Entertainment announced that they licensed the Lucky Star anime with a teaser trailer as a special feature on the volume 4 DVD of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Kadokawa Shoten also produced an SLG game for the PSP titled Lucky Star: Net Idol Meister ( らき☆すた ネットアイドル・マイスター), released in Japan on December 24, 2009. A pre-announcement was made in Kadokawa Shoten's Comptiq magazine that an original video animation project would be produced for Lucky Star. A maxi single with the name Aimai Net Darling containing two songs sung by Hiromi Konno as Akira Kogami, and Minoru Shiraishi as himself in the anime version was released on July 25, 2007. I can't actually remember any of the character names, which probably says something about how attached I (failed to) become to the characters. There is not much of a plot, and only some series of panels follow each other in terms of a story such as when Kagami and Tsukasa visited Konata's house and along with meeting her dad and seeing her decked out otaku room, also got to know about her deceased mother.
