After using it for a few hours and spending time with her to understand how to build this, I think really it is more suitable for age 10 and up because it was incredibly complicated. Once finished it does look like MewTwo but we found that a lot of the pieces look similar but are different, identifying which piece to use next was actually quite hard. Or, for more skilled builders, you can build Star Wars™ ships or create your own Star Wars™ helmet, Imperial Star Destroyer™ or AT-AT™. Melding LEGO and Technic in the most ingenious ways, the build is especially challenging but rewarding, especially when you see the functions in action!

I got the Mew version, which I found fairly quick and easy to build: looking at the other two it seems to be the easiest. She got interested in the Pokemon characters after watching the movie and Mew is one of her favourite characters so she wanted to give this a try. Although the quality of pieces is normally quite good but this was a little disappointing because the tail and arms didnt stay on for long and even with little movement, they come off very easily once it's built, but the size is spot on.

I had to spend most of the effort building it as it was quite hard for my daughter to find all the pieces and join them together.I was surprised by this set, not by the size of the box or the finished model, but by the size and quantity of the pieces.

The pieces reminded us of actual legos and the booklet that comes with the set is very organized and detailed like Lego. I got this for 7 year old daughter for her 7th birthday as the age recommendation for this is 6 and up. My only concern is that a couple of the bricks moulding isn’t spot on and I needed to trim the plastic. Build bigger battles with this Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon that stands over 4-inches tall, and create a heroic stance by posing it in different battle-ready positions.
