He keeps coming around and despite being so young, cassidy questions what he feels when they're together. the heroine is a virgin and was making out with this one guy (because she wants to)- the hero sees this and proceeds to split them apart and beat the guy up- he doesn't think the other guy is good enough for her and says that the heroine is asking for it and pins her arms and unbuttons his jeans to 'get it over with'- the heroine starts crying and tells him to stop, so he pulls her into his truck to drive to her house - where she proceeds to want 'his forgiveness'- I'm sorry what?

Cassidy is the golden girl of the ballet, with a giant crush on the bad boy of the district and watching him fall for her is amazing! Max is the quintessential bad boy mafia- alpha hole and while I loved how raw and carnal his character was, my favorite moments were the quiet spaces in between, where he allowed himself to be vulnerable (or at least attempted to) for Cassidy. Oh Nicci Nicci Nicci, just when I thought my poor heart couldn't take another beating you reached through the pages, ripped it out, and ran it through the grinder shredding me completely.Through the start of this story Cassidy still acts quite young, she still seems very unsure and there are times where she accepts what Max does, but then wants him to change.
