About this deal

Each model in the T Series uses ADAM’s outstanding U-ART (Unique Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter) high-frequency drivers seen in the Adam Audio AX range. The sturdy cabinet design and rear-ported bass-reflex provide a sophisticated design that boasts quality. Featuring an inbuilt DSP-controlled crossover and EQ, with multi-way rear analogue connections; the T7V is compatible with both of ADAMS Sub7 and Sub8 subwoofers. The U-ART 1.9-inch accelerated Ribbon tweeter offers a more dynamic range which means even if you move around your desk, the frequencies that you hear won’t change. During sound generation, the by folded U-ART membrane leads to direct and fast response, even when the unit is maxed out or has complex transients. Accompany this with the HPS waveguide that is found in Adam Audio’s flagship S Series, ensures the monitor has a consistent dispersion and stable imaging over a broader area. The sound is full in the whole frequency spectrum except from the lows to low mids where they have small dip there, but thats not something that i really miss. I actually think that i helps with the overall clarity of the monitors which is exceptional. It's just something to have in mind for the one's that use them for mixing. The calculated scores are not directly comparable to the others form ASR but I would be inclined to say that the EQ benefits are correctly captured

The LF driver size is different but I thought it could be of some interest for some. It was for me at least. This is a problem because it means that Spinorama alone, unfortunately, won't give us all we need. Placement and reflections play an equally important role there too. I think the KRKs are so overhyped at this point, and fair enough, they’ve certainly earned their place. At a certain point though, when will we stop buying things just because they’re the popular choice? Save yourself the headache and get the T7V. The T7V monitor offers extremely high performance, producing 110dB SPLs per pair. This is provided by the integrated new Class D amplifiers delivering 20W power to the tweeter, and 50W power to the woofer. Delivering excellent transient response and a high dynamic range, the studio monitor provides you with accurate audio. The monitor offers a wide frequency range, with a U-ART tweeter that provides you with a much wider sweet spot. This ensures you can hear the same frequencies when you move around your desk. The small footprint of the monitor ensures it can fit easily into any workspace. Versatile connectivity The T7V has both balanced and unbalanced inputs, as well as controls for adjusting the overall level and the high‑ and low‑frequency response. With a specified SPL rating of up to 110dB per pair at one metre, the available level is more than adequate for the intended nearfield deployment — though there’s no clip LED to warn you if you push things too hard. Furthermore, the power LED is on the rear panel; there’s no power indication visible from the front. In Practice

The new U-ART tweeter, a breakthrough solution for use in high-resolution recording and mixing on a budget, goes up to 25 kHz and is mated to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM Audio’s flagship S Series monitors. Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty As for cons, is that they have the power button on the rear. But i have plugged them both on a power tile with power button so i can power them on and off easily. So not that much of a problem. But once that is something you get used to, it’s not a deal-breaker at all. All three speakers are not too harsh in the mids and highs and relatively compact and responsive in low mids and basses, even at extended listening. The ADAM Sub8 subwoofer is the perfect match to complement the T7V, to extend the capabilities of monitoring in the bottom end.If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered I have spliced the LF of the ON to the other curves and simulated the directivity, so it's probably not perfect but, I hope, a reasonable approximation. TBC

Playing David Bowie’s Ashes To Ashes, which I’d also tried on the smaller ADAMs, I noticed greater depth of sound-stage, the T7Vs having an almost holographic quality. This cavernous character is something of a double-edged sword, being quite inviting and seductive, yet also robbing the monitor of immediacy and some midrange punch. Furthermore, Adam Audio are offering a 100-day Free Trial Account of the TIDAL Streaming Platform if you register your Adam Audio product between the 16th of September 2019 until the 31st of December 2019 via MYADAM!It allows you to compare the performances of different speakers before even laying your ears hands on them.

The T7V Studio Monitor features two 3-way fine-tune switches that allow you to boost or cut high/low frequencies, enabling you to tailor the monitor to the room and position it's in. The fine tune controls, combined with high performance, wide frequency response, and a wide sweet spot ensure accurate sound, allowing you to produce professional results.

meaning of these graphs, we again refer the reader to Understanding Loudspeaker Review Measurements Part II. Frequency response 14.1Hz @-6dB. 14.1Hz is chosen so the theoretical max score is 10 although nothing prevent a system from achieving better performances and therefore the score could exceed 10; this is the first issue. While it is not unreasonable to subject professional monitors to a battery of electronic and audio tests, the real question with more affordable monitors such as these is whether or not they enable you to deliver mixes that translate well to real‑world listening situations. All loudspeaker systems show wrinkles in their frequency and phase response curves, and all ported speakers suffer from some degree of bass overhang — but if the design has been handled with care, these inevitable imperfections shouldn’t be serious enough to compromise your work. And in reality, the effects of imperfect room acoustics and the use of unsuitable speaker platforms (or wobbly stands) often masks the more subtle attributes of the speakers.
