About this deal

The Cross Switch it pencil converter is a neat little gadget that can turn a Cross ballpoint pen fitted with a Cross Classic refill into a mechanical pencil. These are not interchangeable, as one pushes into the front-end section of the pen and the other screws into a threaded section of the front end of the pen. It is possible that this may be true as some companies specialize in making a product and then rebrand them for sale by other companies. Cross ink converters are a bespoke size and cannot be used in any fountain pen manufactured by another brand.

The converter is a piston fill converter; to use it, simply dip the nib into the bottle of ink and then turn the screw at the end, drawing the ink into the converter’s reservoir. The Cross Push in Style Ink Converter fits the Following Fountain Pens: It appears that some Cross refills are rebranded as Sheaffer and not the other way round; as in the Sheaffer catalogs, the product codes start with an 8 and are appended SH. The Cross Selectip gel rollerball refills are smooth writing gel ink refills with a medium tip. Its gel ink is of archival quality and is available in four ink colors.

Cross Selectip refills will also fit older Sheaffer pens that used to use the same refill known as the Sheaffer C Style refill. If you like fineliners then the Selectip porous point refill is ideal because, as the name suggests, it has a traditional fineliner-style fibre tip. Cross make several different sizes of replaceable erasers for their mechanical pencil. usually, the refill required is determined by the lead diameter, but not always.
