Every child in America must have been given this book, just like they get Barbie Dolls now. I didn’t have Barbie Dolls, I had baby dolls and paper dolls of movie stars.Me, I just wanted a handsome man. I grew up on Westerns; I knew what a man was supposed to be like. I also knew that they should be tall, dark, and handsome. I wanted a cowboy, but I didn’t know that then, so I married my high school sweetheart who was an American Indian. How ironic. But being Native American myself, but more white than he, my mother thought that he was too dark for me. Well, he was a lot of things, but not too dark. Cinderella stepped up to him. The Prince got down on one knee and tried the glass slipper on her foot.

One day, big news came to town. The King and Queen were going to have a ball! It was time for the Prince to find a bride. All of the young ladies in the land were invited to come. They were wild with joy! They would wear their most beautiful gown and fix their hair extra nice. Maybe the prince would like them! But Cinderella kept running up.When Cinderella comes downstairs wearing the dress, the stepsisters are upset when they realize Cinderella is wearing their accessories and tear the dress to shreds before leaving for the ball with their mother. Lady Tremaine's cat, Lucifer, ambushes the mice, but Bruno chases him out of the house, allowing the mice to free Cinderella. As the Duke is about to leave, Cinderella appears and asks to try on the slipper. Who said I was done?” said the Fairy Godmother. She tapped her wand again. At once, a beautiful carriage came to be, with a driver and four white horses. Their fine carriage came to the door. The stepmother and step-sisters hopped inside. And they were off. Cinderella looked around her. "Did that even happen?" But there she stood in a fine gown, and with a golden band in her hair. And there were her driver and four horses before her, waiting.
