Despite being a pair of budget earbuds, the Edifier X3 comes with a touch control panel. The earbuds come fitted with a high-precision touchpad which we were greatly impressed by. It was easy to control and very responsive. The specifications are fairly average. The only thing that stands out is that the earbuds are more waterproof than many other earphones in this price. The bud-style earbuds sit comfortably in the ears – we did not have to switch out the default ear tip size. But if you do have to, Edifier has kindly included two more sizes of rubber ear tips for you to find the perfect fit. The earbuds’ lightweight design also makes them incredibly pleasant to use for lengthy listening sessions.

The Edifier X3 earpieces feel sturdy as well. They are round on the inside, and while they're not necessarily bigger than more bean-shaped Haylou GT1 Plus and SoundPEATS TrueDot, they fill up your ears more. They feel larger, but not too large. The X3 has a comfortable, tight fit. One downside is their blue LED-lights also blink when you're playing music, which makes it annoying to use these in bed. With a slightly boosted bass and prominent vocals, the Edifier X3 is a good sounding allrounder suitable for most music genres.

According to Edifier, the X3 does have an IPX5 rating for water and dust protection. So, I tested it out by bringing it for a shower. And what do you know, it still worked fine after all the splashes it got. By now, you should know I’m a big fan of audio freedom, and that means no cables at all when it comes to audio enjoyment. The Edifier X3 TWS earbuds caught my attention because of its price and features. Edifier was kind enough to send us a unit for review, we tried it for a week and here’s our thoughts on the Edifier X3. Unfortunately, the Edifier X3 does not have the function of volume control using touch control or customizing the controls. If you’re really lazy to take out your phone to control the volume of your audio, you could summon your voice assistant to do it for you. Noise Cancellation

If you press left or right twice, you will go to the previous song. With 3x left or right you go to the next song. Edifier has opted to double occupancy positions. At the same time, you cannot adjust the volume with the touch. Edifier could have added much better volume control. This has really not been thought about. Charging boxFurther emphasizing the brighter sound, the lower-mids are toned-down. Darker electronic tones and instruments like drums and cello's, or the piano's darker notes, play a merely supportive role on the Edifier sound. As a bonus of the clear X3-sound, you are treated to an airy soundstage, with good left-right separation and detail. In easier going songs, it's also possible to place instruments.
