I hate the fact that I haven't found a way to boot up straight into the Dune App. I'm sure there must be a way but I can't find it. I only want to use it as a Dune box. I've always used Dune boxes. They are extremely reliable and play just about anything you put on them. I have always recommended them to others. Many apps still fail to access the internal or external storage due to the new permission policy implemented in Android 11 and above, developers still need to optimize this policy in their apps, a workaround is to manually select the option in each individual Android’s app settings to allow access to the storage all the time if available, otherwise, selecting the option to access the storage only when the app is in use work with some apps. I've been unable to use some game console emulators such as Lemuroid because of this. It comes with the certified Android TV OS version for sure and the Google Play Store will show those APP's made specifically for that OS (controlled by remote control). In fact all should be working without any problems including all popular streaming services. Where applicable these all will work with voice control using the bundled BT remote. The remote itself is small with a limited set of buttons but does a decent job. Using another BT remote with the player proved to work for me (tried my Zidoo V8 as such).

Auto HDR working fine with Dolby Vision, although, colours were way off, so would require a full settings change on both TV and projector, and unlike the Formuler Z11, there are no internal image settings like contrast/brightness/hue etc to help boost the HDR image! Love that feature on the Formuler! So for example a SoC such as the S905X4-J will support Dolby Vision, whereas a S905X4 will not. What about Amlogic-ng devices that have a Dolby Vision license? No passthrough for DTS HD and DTS-X (but decode to PCM 5.1/7.1 will work). It is on their roadmap lo look into this when a new SDK (planned Q2) and/or new Android TV OS version becomes available from Amlogic. It (very) much remains to be seen if it in fact will enable DTS Passthrough? It is not a promise or something to be expected with any guarantee as it can't be fixed just in the Dune APP.

Vše tak v podstatě odpovídalo chování u výše uvedených MMC. A jaké bylo multimediální centrum Homatics Box R 4K Plus? V průběhu zkoušení se jednou, dvakrát stalo, že nešlo zapnout dálkovým ovladačem, takže bylo nutné vytáhnout napájení a chvíli počkat. Značka se ale o firmware velmi dobře stará, takže nemusíte mít obavu z toho, že by něco zásadního zůstalo nefunkční. Ostatně momentálně se prý pracuje na zprovoznění dodatečného příslušenství připojovaného přes spodní rozhraní USB-C. Homatics ho na náš dotaz zatím nespecifikoval, jen sdělil, že by mělo jít také o reprosystém. Zajímavé! Ještě zajímavější by ale bylo, pokud by se k boxu dal tímto způsobem připojit nějaký externí disk, resp. „krabice“ s externím diskem a rozhraními třeba pro točivou klasiku i SSD. USB Ports: The Homatics Box R 4K Plus has two USB full size ports & one USB Type-C for expanding its storage capacity & using other accessories.
