This book now has a spot in my top 100 reads of all time. Going into this I didn't think that I would like it. It was so different from what I usually read. However I am very glad that I went ahead and read this! I loved this book so much. It is so dear to my heart. I honestly have no complaints about this book. That may seem hard to believe but it's true. The family were all staying at our villa in Tuscany that summer when Giles took me to one side and said he needed to ask my advice. He only ever did that when he wanted something. But this time it turned out to be something I wanted just as much as he did. This is a story about coincidences, about what people will do for love, about how life can go full circle, and how people get their due. This is a story about friendship, about the way different events are important to different people, and about how the actions of others - that we don't even know about - can affect so many aspects of our lives. This is a story about unfortunate circumstances, about class bigotry, and about redemption. This is a beautifully written book. He came to tea at the Manor House to celebrate my brother’s twelfth birthday. He was so quiet and reserved that I wondered how he could possibly be Giles’s best friend. The other one, Deakins, was really strange. He never stopped eating and hardly said a word all afternoon.

There is a total of 6 books in the series published between the years 2011 and 2016. All the novels of the series are based on the mystery and thriller genres. Author Jeffrey Archer has set the time frame of the series during the early 20th century and has depicted the life story of the central character named Harry Clifton throughout the series. Each of the novels of the series show the struggles that Harry Clifton had to face right from his childhood and up to the time of attaining his adulthood. A few weeks after birth his family moved from London to Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset. This is where he spent the better part of his early life. Mr Archer attended Wellington School in Somerset from the year 1951. He successfully concluded his O-levels studies with focus on History, Art and English literature. Thereafter, he got a variety of jobs where he served in different capacities. At two different schools, he worked as a physical education teacher where he focused on training students in a number of sports including fencing. At some point he also underwent training with the police and army. Later on, Jeffrey Archer furthered his education to be qualified as a teacher. Maisie Clifton - Harry's mother who after sudden death of her husband Arthur, tries to make ends meet to support her family and Harry's education. I was pleased to have fallen at the first hurdle. But as I was to discover, Miss Eleanor E. Monday didn't give up easily.

Well I am definitely not gonna read the rest of the six books because I don't care about Harry Clifton anymore.The life and times of Mr Archer form a story of their own. Born in the great country of England, he rose to become not only an honorable British citizen but also a politician. His political responsibilities saw him resign after a scandal but later on return to politics. The second time round, the intrigues of politics saw him land an imprisonment term which unceremoniously ended his political career. Through all these, the author that was in him came to life and all through, he continues to thrill his readers and expand his fan-base. Born on the 15th of April 1940 in a London Hospital,he was officially named Jeffrey Howard Archer. I haven't come across that sort of blatant ass-kissing of a fictional character since I read Stephanie Meyer's homage to the Supreme Glorious Awesome Majestic Sparkleness that is His Magnificence, Edward Cullen. Also known as the Twilight books.
