This is the second time Charlie Day did voice work for an animated film, as he previously voiced Art in Disney and Pixar's Monsters University. Physics frequently seem to warp around Benny as though he's outside Earth's atmosphere. He's occasionally seen floating around, as he would in a low-gravity environment, and as noted above, oxygen leaking from his helmet is a problem for him, even though he should be able to breathe that outside. So there you have it, 2 old favourites, Benny and a brand new entrant into Classic Space, making this quite the momentous set. You know what makes an awesome day even awesomer? And when the music starts pumping, their toes start tapping – this beat is so funky that the crew take their moves across the galaxy, from the wastelands of Apocalypseburg, the strange galaxy of the Systar System, the mysterious verdant Alien Jungle, and the eternally happy place known as Harmony Town. There’s no way you can sit still watching this number – you’ll be bopping to the beat in no time, learning moves that you didn’t know your body could do. It would also make sense to have a successor to Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship SPACESHIP which was one of THE standout sets of the 1st LEGO Movie. The LL929 is a continuation of a numbering scheme used for three classic space kits: 918 Space Transport (LL918), 924 Transporter (LL924), and 928 Galaxy Explorer (LL928). Like Benny's space ship, all were sleek wedges with grey wings, blue fuselage, and yellow windows. Because "Jenny" stands out more as a female name. Because it's all "progressive" to have the pink one be a guy. Because it's such a long-standing tradition that no more than one female be included in a genre set that everyone just automatically accepted that Lenny was a guy, even if they haven't consciously processed the reason why...yet.

That said, I did sort of predict that LEGO would re-release Classic Space this year (see screenshot from a group chat with my mates in November 2018) and I have a feeling that this won’t be the last we see of Classic Space in 2019. This space toy for kids includes 4 new-for-January-2019 THE LEGO® MOVIE 2™ minifigures: Benny, Lenny, Jenny and Kenny. Features a THE LEGO® MOVIE 2™ spaceship toy with a minifigure seat and a lunar buggy with 2 minifigure seats.Here’s a comparison with the Lunar Buggy from 928 Galaxy Explorer (one of my favourite sets of all time). I wish they had managed to incorporate the red wheels, but it’s a close enough homage.
